Harold Akins began in the car business in Bessemer, AL in 1981. On June 1, 1990 he founded and opened Harold Akins Auto Sales, Inc. After many years of dedicated service to his customers, Harold retired from the car business in 2007. We continue to strive daily to carry on the same great customer service and quality many in Bessmer and the surrounding areas have come to expect when doing business at Harold Akins Auto Sales. When Harold's son Keith began to purchase the business in 2007, he chose to keep the company name of Harold Akins Auto Sales. Not only to honor his dad and his legacy, but to ensure the same great quality sales and service our customers have always received when doing business with us. 37 years of the Akins family doing car business in the same town would not be possible without putting our customers first! After Harold's retirement in 2007, his son Keith began purchasing the business from his Dad in order to carry on the family car business in Bessemer. Keith has helped his Dad in various roles at the lot since he was 14 years old. From beginning in the car detail shop at the age of 14 to now running the day to day operations of the business, Keith has 26 years expereince in the car business to serve you and your used car needs.
